Since joining the industry as an independent financial planning boutique, we have done over 700 retirement and financial planning seminars and currently advise over $150M for 500+ wonderful families.*

Michel studied at Laval University, in Quebec City, and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science in 1985. He worked at Metropolitan Life (MetLife) in Ottawa (and stayed in the region since then!) from 1985 to 1990 in the actuarial department, and obtained his Associateship from the Society of Actuaries (Illinois, USA), in 1988. In 1990, he decided to jump on the other side of the fence and to become a Financial Planner to help people with their finances.
In 1993, he went to Great-West Life (GWL) as a sales manager, then Regional Life manager in 1997.
In 2000, he left GWL to join a group of actuaries and financial planners and start giving retirement seminars for the Retirement Planning Institute (RPI), the largest provider of retirement seminars to the public function pensionneers. Since the year 2000, Michel has been the leading financial planning seminar facilitator at exclusive events for public sector employers and employees.
Over 700 seminars later, he still does retirement seminars and provides financial plans to over 500 families.

Amy Tang is the Chief Operating Officer and one of the main advisors of Grandmaster Financial. She leads the team with a passion of delivering exceptional customer service. While working directly with clients is one of her strengths, Amy also oversees the important processes that take place behind the scenes. She’s in charge of coordinating advisory and administrative efforts to ensure an effective business workflow.
Amy brings with her nearly 9 years of experience since joining Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network in 2013 and joining Grandmaster FP in 2017.
Amy has been honoured as one of Wealth Professional’s Rising Stars for the year of 2020 and as the sole recipient of the Advocis Young Achiever of the Year Award from Wealth Professional, in 2021, which recognizes the hard work and exceptional practice of an advisor under 40 with a Nation-Wide clientele.

Jude is a bilingual graduate of H.E.C. Montréal with specialization in Finance. Throughout his time at university, Jude acquired experience through multiple internships in different branches of finance: As a Junior Credit Analyst for CDPQ, as a Junior Private Equity Analyst for Alfar Capital Management and worked twice on back office projects for financial services firms in Ottawa and Gatineau. His latest back office project was with GrandMaster FP during summer 2020 before joining as a full-time employee at the beginning of 2021.

Linda attended Algonquin College, earning a certificate in Office Administration. She brings over 10 years of experience in customer service and office administration across various industries.
Linda began her career in the financial services industry as a customer experience specialist with Desjardins Insurance Home and Auto in 2020. In 2022, she joined Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network as a transaction processor. After successfully completing a back office project with Grandmaster Financial Planning, Linda transitioned to her current role as an Administrative Assistant.
A creative at heart, Linda loves to sing, write, and paint. She is also a certified makeup artist and enjoys spending quality time with her family in her spare time.

Carol Galeote joined Grandmaster Financial Planning in 2021 as an Investment Funds Administrator, and brings over 30 years of administrative experience. She is instrumental in our behind-the-scene operations, which includes investment processing and following-up on transactions for our clients. Carol also works proactively to support the company’s administrative team.
Carol began her career in the financial services industry as an Administrator in the mid 90s. She then went on to spend over 12 years with Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network in Ottawa.
When possible, Carol enjoys travelling.

Susan Huang joined our growing team in 2021 as a Processing Administrative Assistant. She brings with her over 9 years of administrative & book-keeping experience and provides behind-the-scenes support to our team, helping us stay organized and ensures our processing operations are executed accurately while maintaining efficiency.
Susan is a dedicated mother to two young children and also a proud co-owner of Silver Spoon Thai, a small family friendly restaurant located near by. When she has time in her busy schedule to do something for herself, she finds the most joy in spending quality time with friends and family, accompanied by a glass of wine and good food.
